Jennifer Chantel Long, 19, Halifax NS

Jennifer was born on July 2nd, 1980 and died on July 30th, 1999 in her home at the age of 19. She was violently beaten to death by her ex boyfriend. He was found guilty of first-degree murder and sentenced to 25 years in jail.

Jennifer was always an active person, she enjoyed the outdoors and meeting new people. She loved to talk and joke around. Even though she didn’t have much, she would have given anything to help others. She had planned on going back to school to continue her education and create a better life for herself and her daughters. Jennifer was a Mother of 2 daughters, Khieza and Keionna. She loved being a mother.

She had a big heart and loved being with her family. She was an amazing little sister, as well as a wonderful big sister. She was hard headed and stubborn, which usually got her into trouble. She enjoyed doing things with her older sister Mary and niece Makayla, shopping, going to the park, baking and being a big sister to Valoree. Unfortunately, she will never have the chance to meet her nephew Quentin or niece Jessica, but they both know all about her and how much Jennifer meant to her family and how much she was loved.

She was taken from her family at such a young age, but she will never be forgotten.
