The Remember Me Walk went virtual this year from October 24 to November 20. Past years we’ve walked to remember women who lost their lives to domestic violence together in person – 2020 required a different approach.
The Remember Me Walk was special this year for a reason other than going virtual. October 2020 marked 30 years since the murder of Barbara Baillie in Spryfield, NS. A meaningful milestone for the Baillie family, Barb’s Bench Project and the community.
Below are highlights from virtual walks that happened in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Ontario.
The Baillie Family & Friends, Long Lake Provincial Park, Sunday November 15
Cynthia Bowes and her cousin Erica, Isle aux Morts in Newfoundland, Sunday November 15
Bev Mullin, Shubie Park, Dartmouth, NS
Heather Williams, friend Alicia Whyte and Alicia’s daughter Tilly Lave, Toronto Ontario, Sunday November 8th
A big THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the walk this year.
